Chapter 8
Removing Obstacles to the Epiphany of Truth

We complained that along with Paul's discredit of the Holy Scriptures and Mission of Christ, there are obstacles to the Redemption of Israel: that first we must remove the stones and iron gate blocking the Golden Gate in order for the procession of Righteousness with its Tabernacle to enter the Temple Mount. We showed that to remove the stones without bloodshed, one must show the Moslems how Christ must confirm the Law and, therefore, because the Koran confirms Jesus as the Christ and because it also confirms the Law, that (at the expense of seeming redundant, we say) it follows that the Christ of the Holy Scriptures is the Koran's Christ also. It is amazing that pastors have not discovered this.

It is the Church's lies – creating fear among Moslems – which caused the Gate of Righteousness to be blocked. In order to get the Moslems to freely remove the iron and stones blocking the Golden Gate – which they control – we must remove that falsehood rooted in the heart of Pope John-Paul II that caused the fear. Make sense?

All of this relates to bearing witness to the Truth: in the Spirit of Truth and Judgment.

In this conversation – which is under the cover of Christ's criteria as to Who is of the Truth – we enquire whether Pope John-Paul II is capable of hearing Christ's voice. Whether he is of the Truth. Those who are of the Truth would not enable a lie to be accounted to their name. They correct errors:

Psalm 50.23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the Salvation of God.

Christ, in good conversation, honors the Holy Scriptures, and thus He must defend them against those who persecute them. This is our source of Truth.

Remember our Truth came into the world – that it is the manifestation of knowledge which we call Wisdom. The Shekinah is Wisdom, the Shekinah is the Glory of God, and God, the LORD GOD, is Truth, to which we have emphasized that the the Messiah is the Son of Truth. If you are of Christ, or the Truth, you will hear His voice. As noted many times, there is a consensus among the prophets of Israel and Christ that there is one thing God cannot do is to lie. He is capable of good and evil [re: Isaiah 45.7], but He cannot lie. For the distinction of a prophet of God is that God confirms the word of His Servants [Deut. 18.22] (Jesus said He also would be confirmed [John 15.26, 16.7-15]).

page 33

That which is called Holy cannot be identified with a lie. We make this point so that His Holiness, Pope John-Paul II, seeing that others will note his lie, will order his conversation aright to preserve his office as Holy unto Christ.

Chapter 9
Christ makes the law honorable

This is a function of the Faithful Shepherd, the Light of the Gentile. We see this in Revelation 19.11 and in the Dead Sea Scrolls; to wit:

Dead Sea Scrolls, "The New Covenant." Thou wilt renew Thy Covenant unto them with a show of glory..and Thou wilt appoint for them a faithful shepherd..

Thus:

Isaiah 42.21..He will magnify the Law and make it honorable.

This is in our January 28, 1994 message – Appendix A of On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church. We have repeated it several times.

The message leading to Isaiah 42.21 is as follows:

42.16..I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
42.18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
42.19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
42.20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
42.21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honorable.

page 34

Who made the Law dishonorable

That the LORD will magnify the law and make it honorable suggests that someone tried to put down the law and made it dishonorable. In On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church and most recently From Dust & Ashes to Joy, we showed the path of that dishonor, through a liar, beginning with Paul through Martin Luther, and finally Freud, who did what he could to discredit the law and the Jews, with the consequence that Hitler took all of these false dealers at their word. For a false perception was spread through the Church [and the world] that the LORD shall not be sanctified in the Jews and their law, that they are despised of God. This false gospel, as said, is ultimately sourced in Paul, and now we have a record of Pope John-Paul II condemning the Law again by condemning the Koran (which embraces the Law)!

Isaiah 42.21 alone proves that those who condemn the Law have tempted the LORD.

Reflecting upon Isaiah 42.21, alone, we can witness how Paul held the dispensation of Saints Peter and James in contempt, as executed in Acts 15.19-21, and rather than preaching the message which was authorized to him-to the Gentile alone – Paul taught the contrary and, thus, betrayed the trust of Saints Peter and James and the Apostolic Council in Jerusalem. Paul denied the authority granted to him through the Apostolic Council and then robbed authority given only to Christ's Second Coming, of serving the terms of the New Covenant. Paul not only lied and created a trail of liars leading to the Holocaust, but he also robbed the LORD of His rights to set the New Covenant vis-a-vis the terms and conditions listed by the prophets. In this and many other matters listed by the prophets Paul deliberately attempted to discredit them. Our prolix witnesses the extent of damage which Paul has done to the Gospel of Christ. Had Paul kept to the mission assigned to him, the Golden Gate might not be sealed and a call to restore the Tabernacle would be respected by the Christian Community. The prophets are of one mind that the Tabernacle must accompany the Children of Israel when they are redeemed to the Holy Land (which is now). Searching this out via Hidden Pavilions, until now, the words of Isaiah 42.21 become more profound, and now we must complain that Paul made the disciples of Christ deaf and blind. We lament that the Church's senselessness has even infected the Pope. We lament, where we hoped there was light, there is darkness.

page 35

Paul's dishonor (and now the declamations of Pope John-Paul II) – against the Law show they contain little light. For the Law was seen as the Light of the LORD, which is personified in Christ – we refer to the Light of the Gentile [re: Isaiah 42 and 49] – and Paul attempted to squelch the Light using Jesus as his justification to do so! Alas! Pope John-Paul II continued the offense by making his unlearned statements against the Koran and its people.

Chapter 10
So I Cursed Ignorance

This comes from:

Enoch 30.6 But I cursed Ignorance, but what I had blessed previously, those I did not curse. I cursed not man, nor the earth, not other creatures, but man's evil fruit, and his works [re: Hidden Pavilions p. 164].

Lawyers have a trained eye to seek out hidden facts, and a quick way of judging ignorance is to seek a virtuous lawyer's opinion. The level of ignorance witnessed in the Pope we measured by the extent of shock in our independent lawyer. So I laid a copy of the beginning of this epistle (see ch. 20) before my attorney friend, the Virtuous Lawyer, and, knowing that he had not seen the bulk of our discussion, I asked him to give me his opinion of this document which was then about three pages in length. After he read it the next day he said, "You're sure hard on the Pope!"

In pursuing the legal nature of our conversation – reflecting on how the Pope lied and defamed the people of the Koran (whose action also defames the faith of Saints Peter and James and the original Apostles in Jerusalem, as well as the Jews; even all who honor the Law!) – the Virtuous Lawyer pointed out a need to be gentle in prosecution of the lie. This is hard to do: because of the bloodshed of the past which has come as a result of the continuing falsehoods of the Church and because of the bloodshed yet to come--all owing to the Church's defamations of the Law.

Search the Scriptures; our cause is just, the remedy (of telling the Truth for a change) of our cause is light, but the consequences of allowing the Church to continue suppression of the Truth (in matters pertaining to the Law) are terrible. There is no more serious matter confronting mankind this day.

page 36

Examining the problem in a simple light, all we need do is examine the lie made by Pope John-Paul II against the Koran. Here he misrepresented Christ and undermined the credibility of the Law and Christ's Second Coming. A serious charge against Pope John-Paul II, one should think. For Christ was created to confirm the Law [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy Part I, pp. 4,5].

All lawyers are trained to recognize evidence; and seeing the facts of the matter the Virtuous Lawyer agreed that Pope John-Paul II lied about the Koran, and, to tell the truth, the Virtuous Lawyer was shocked at how blatant the lie was! We see those who honor the Koran as disciples of Christ and the Law.

Exposing a legacy of liars

The Church's lie, as mentioned, has been one which has continued over the centuries, claiming to the effect that the Moslems who follow the Koran are not disciples of Christ-which means that they are not saved in Christ-and thus must be converted to Christ. Following this legacy, Popes, such as "hocus pocus" Innocent III, launched Crusades to convert the Moslems to Christ, and this is still going on under the auspice that somehow (following St. Augustine's and Thomas Torquemada's sick logic [re: On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church ]) one is justified in converting souls to Christ by killing them. None of these brutes, it seems, ever read the Koran, where it points out a Word from God, which is Jesus the Messiah, who condemned such behavior.

As we press the argument to its conclusion we find that these murderers and war-mongers were merely following Paul's condemnation of the Law. Even though they may have read how the Koran honors Jesus as the Messiah, the Word of God, we know in our heart that it fell on deaf ears, because the Pauline Church propagandized yet another deceit about the Koran because the Koran honors not only Jesus as the Messiah but also it honors all of the Holy Scriptures of the Jews. It confirms them. Ignoring this, to honor Paul's againstness of the Law, the Church scandalized the Koran!

For those who don't know what the verb, to confirm, means, we refer them to the Church's idea of confirmation: how one, being baptized, becomes confirmed as a full member of the Church. Christ baptizes not with water but with the Holy Spirit [John 1.33]. Hence, pertaining to the Koran's use of the terms, Jesus the Messiah, and to confirm the Holy Scriptures, there is no one who should have had any misunderstanding as to what those terms mean; and finally we know that one confirms the Word of God by obeying it. The LORD here says, sanctify thyself..for I am Holy ! And for those sanctified in His Holy Spirit [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy ], who have strayed from it, He here says, Purify thyself! We stress this since Pope John-Paul II's (the Church's) nefarious error, a hood blinding the nations, cannot abide in the Kingdom of God.

Yet another problem hides behind the veil Paul raised over the eyes of the Church – which affronts followers of the Koran as well as Jews – for the Pauline Church represented Jesus as a god who could compete with God, who would go back on his word as it were; presenting such inane points of view is:

page 37

Philippians 2.6 [referring to Jesus] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.

What Paul did here is to separate Jesus from the Law-as if Jesus had Himself called the Law Old and passed away , offering a New Law [covenant].

Disregarding the charge from the Apostolic Court to mission only to the Gentiles (that the Gentiles only need not obey the Law), Paul declaimed and denounced the law to Jews and Gentile alike and then used Jesus as His authority to do so, as if Jesus were another god equal to the LORD and above the Law of the LORD. Now a good lawyer would say that what Paul did was downright criminal (on the defamation of the Law and Christ's character). In sum, Paul and the murderous priests behind him disgraced the Will of the LORD.

The Holy Scriptures are clear that God is One, all in all. The Pauline Church went the other way: arguing over the substance of God [re: On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church ]; and this argument infected modern philosophers, from St. Thomas Aquinas, Descartes to Hegel, who argued over the substance [existence] of God to set the foundation of their philosophy. Compare now where this has led. Still arguing over the Substance of God--a discussion which is inane because the Holy Scriptures claim that God is ineffable, all in all, and only measurable through His Word--the Church fails to be admonished to hear the Word, for:

John 6.63..the words that I speak unto you they are the spirit and they are life [the flesh profiteth nothing]

From Christ's and also the Koran's point of view there is but One Word of the LORD: that God is One. The illiteracy of the Pauline Church is demonstrated on this one point (aside from the controversy over the Holy Trinity), where we find ignorance over the words, Jesus is the Messiah, or the Koran agrees with the Holy Scriptures. It seems pure nonsense that the Church would even argue with the followers of the Koran. We are nonplused that the Church did not join with disciples of the Koran to search the scriptures [re: John 5.39]: to ascertain how to recognize Christ when He comes again for Judgment. Sir, we know why this did not happen, don't we? Paul said that Christ would judge by Paul's Gospel and that gospel in effect says that you need not search the Holy Scriptures anymore. Now, then, if Jesus said, Search the Scriptures, one must conclude that He knew them, and this leads to the fact that Christ knows what we know.

page 38

There is no debate: the Pauline Church (through Paul's epistles) has openly denounced the Holy Scriptures. Yet they pretend to agree with the Holy Scriptures, as we can see in Pope John-Paul II's comment opined in this work. In contrast the Koran accepted Jesus as the Messiah and the Holy Scriptures as its authority, and this requires all arguments over the Koran to refer back to its authority.

How the Koran applies its authority is another matter (though by its nature the Koran cannot contradict its authority). In reviewing it's application, we do object to one thing (which applies to the Christian Church as well): that the application of the Holy War must cease, as we know that in the Latter Days the desire of the Holy Scriptures is to lay down weapons; furthermore, there is no justification for warfare using the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

We can conclude this portion of our argument, that the Koran is consistent with the Spirit of the Holy Scriptures, to the extent, even, as we said in Hidden Pavilions, one knowledgeable in the Holy Scriptures would conclude that the Koran makes a soul a good Jew. This, of course, is what the Koran intended. The Pauline Church, on the other hand, intended to destroy good Jews and, effectively speaking, (we reflect back from the scene of the holocaust), they announced a new god who advocated the destruction of the Law and the Jews, offending first Saints Peter and James and the Apostolic Council in Jerusalem, then the Jews, and since 700 A.D. the followers of the Koran.

As noted in On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church, one of the first things Muhammed did was to rid the Ka'aba (temple of Abraham in Mecca) of the many idols which had accumulated in it over the centuries. With this we also brought to your Bishop's attention how the early church agreed with the Koran's perception of the One God and forbade Idolatry.

Comparing the Moslem Faith to the early Christian Church, we said that Saints Peter and James and their Apostolic Court should feel more comfortable worshipping in a Mosque than a Christian Church. They might have trouble, in the Resurrection [Rev. 19-20.5], recognizing a Pauline Church as of Christ.

Chapter 11
How acceptance of false knowledge
is assenting to sin

St. Maximos the Confessor, Four Hundred Texts on Love, said:

Third Century, 34 Impurity of intellect consists first in having false knowledge..

page 39

Continuing the thought he said:

[ibid..] Secondly in being ignorant of any of the universals (I refer to the human intellect, for it is a property of the angelic intellect not to be ignorant even of particulars); thirdly in having impassioned thoughts; and fourthly of assenting to sin.

One can sin in ignorance, but then, when one assents to sin, we have the matter of wickedness. We, of course, have been examining the difference between what is wicked (using Psalm 12) and what is Holy and now look towards Pope John-Paul II to demonstrate the difference. If he repents and corrects his error, the sin is forgotten.

In the beginning the Holy Scriptures were named Holy, the Word of God, because of the LORD's promise to teach thee in all things [re: From Dust and Ashes to Joy ] remembering:

Psalm 25.8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

– which is what we have been doing [and how Jesus explained his mission]:

Psalm 25.9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
25.10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

We showed how Jesus said that He kept the LORD's sayings [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy, Part I, p. 4 et al.], and we saw how the LORD will teach David, even David the Messiah, his way: of teaching a little one how to overcome overwhelming odds, as it were. The overwhelming odds are: to reconcile the Church to the Koran, to them who guard the Sealed Golden Gate and the Temple Mount, to them who will come and rebuild in Zion the House of Prayer for all People. A simple act – as opening the Golden Gate and holding it open – should be a challenge to Pope John-Paul II to honor his own word and engage us (as we previously requested in On the Breakage of the Holy Church ) on a reasonable method by which the Moslems can be enticed to peacefully remove the stones which block the Golden Gate.

Now [we repeat for edification] the Koran, which is what Pope John-Paul II and his predecessors lied about, as we confirm later herein, defers back to the Judgment of Christ and the Law.

page 40

Christ knows the Law and showed great skills in debating the Law – that's His major asset, in fact – and taking the facts as they stand with respect to the Koran's claim:

– a good lawyer would put the Koran down on the table, addressing those who would dispute over the Koran, and open the Bible, saying:

What is the Messiah to do?

This question opines the foundation we laid in Philistia Triumph thou because of me. The Koran referred all of its authority to the Holy Scriptures and Jesus the Messiah. All we need do is open the Holy Scriptures to discuss what the Messiah must do (as we are doing with you and your Bishop).

This procedure will either correct or rid us of ignorant leaders – who condemn the Holy Scriptures – which, as in the case of Pope John-Paul II, will expose the fact that Pope John-Paul II had (like Paul) condemned a book he had not taken occasion to read. This too is a sin: to judge something in ignorance. (Lest we be accused of the same failing, we note that we browsed the book of Pope John-Paul II and here complain about the specific comments he made – which we quoted in chapter 7 above. Our motive is to expose and resolve only the error of Pope John-Paul II's stated position – which reflects a denigration of the Law – since removal of his error facilitates a peaceful way of removing the stones sealing the Golden Gate. But if anyone wants us to comment on the rest of Crossing the Threshold of Hope, we can do so (after our present issue of making the Law honorable is resolved).

Our concern is that men walk blindly behind those who claim that the spirit of the Lord has fallen upon them, that they have done great things in his name, etc., when in fact Christ must say:

I never knew thee..

page 41

Chapter 12
Till all be fulfilled

When we use the term, fulfilled, we can apply it as if we were waiting for all that is written in Heaven to be poured out upon the earth, where all prophesy is fulfilled – both the blessings and the curses-or to the effect that all of the Desire stated in the Holy Scriptures (and confirmed by Christ) is fulfilled. We must keep in mind, through this, that application of the forecasted Curses against the nations (for persecuting the Law and My People) is directly proportional to repentance, to this effect:

Psalm 9.5 Thou has rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name forever and ever
9.17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

– with this proviso:

Isaiah 58.4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Jeremiah 18.7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it.
18.8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, l will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
Isaiah 55.7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

We know by virtue of the orders delivered through Christ and His Apostolic Council, under Saints Peter and James, that the LORD always takes back to Him those who repent of their wickedness. Always He says to repent according to His Terms. Paul took exception to those terms, as they applied to the Jews. Nevertheless, our make-weight is:

Matthew 5.18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

page 42

And this:

Isaiah 8.20 To the Law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

To the Law and the Testimony

Jesus added to the Testimony, but caused no change to the Law. This we have argued enough – that the Law is part of the Testimony of the LORD GOD.

The Hebrew scribes had two ways of writing: one with the jots and tittles next to the characters, showing pauses and vowels by tiny accent dots and marks, and another without the jots and tittles. A scribe was expected to know, in either case, the correct placement of the accents. In Hebrew, then, to assure no ambiguity, the knowledge of, and placement of, the accent marks was most important to understanding the language – which is the Word of God.

Being an open vessel to receive the Word. As noted in From Dust & Ashes to Joy, the excellence of every Jew was his ability to study, to comment on, and to copy the Holy Scriptures. The most excellent scribes were the lawyers, and their [Bride's] dowry often included funds which allowed a Groom to study the Law all of his life. When Jesus said, not one jot or tittle will in no wise pass from the Law till all be fulfilled, He used the most precise expression a scribe could use when passing judgment on the Law. The precision is to be admired, for a scribe – who is sloppy in his use of accents – arguing a matter in court, could appear to be quite foolish if the Sanhedrin were to point out his misunderstanding because he didn't read the proper accent. It may be over a small difference in a character: i.e. a man might sue another because he was sent a Miser to do his grafting, when the contract provided for delivery of a M'tzr , an Egyptian .

page 43

Chapter 13
Quickened again in Thy Likeness

Christ knows how to read [re: Wisdom of Solomon cf. 8.8; Hidden Pavilions pp. 19-21.]; and He knew that He must reflect the desire of the Holy Scriptures, as drawn up from them, as from a well, to David. And David was one who said:

Psalm 71.7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
71.19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
71.20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

He is raised in the LORD's likeness! [re: when you see me you see the Father] :

Psalm 17.15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

All of the prophets agreed that Christ would awaken with the likeness of the Word of God, or one like the Son of Man [Rev. 14.14; Daniel 7.13]. He would not be recognizable as the Word of God if He did not display this:

Revelation. 19.11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
19.15..out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations..

What is this Word of God? Does He talk [pray] to Himself? If He is Faithful and True, to what is it that He is faithful and True? Dear Sir, there is only one direction in the Holy Scriptures this leads and this is to the idea of One Word of God. Paul has put himself at odds with that One Word by denouncing the Law and its prophets and its people (creating some other word).

The One Word of God is against liars of all kinds...

page 44

We have seen in From Dust & Ashes to Joy, part I, p. 24, where He is awakened by the precepts of the LORD, to which we add:

Psalm 18.27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but will bring down high looks.
18.28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
18.29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
18.35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Proverbs 6.23 ..the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

By the Law and the Testimony

By all measures the Word must magnify the Law and make it honorable. In doing so, with regard to Pope John-Paul II's lie, Christ already opposes him, and weighs him against this:

Psalm 10.4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
10.5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
10.6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
10.7 His mouth is full of cursing, and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
10.8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
10.11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
10.13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

There are many things in Pope John-Paul II's comment which fall into the above list and need to be purged. We hope that he is not so far above us that he will not answer; and, more so, we pray that he answers whilst he still has a chance. For our desire, as stated in On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church, was to use Saint Peter's Chair in the Vatican to sanctify [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy ] the Truth. We pray that the Pope will come to it. Remember:

page 45

Psalm 33. 4..the Word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
55.23..bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

Chapter 14
By His Knowledge He will justify Many

Isaiah 53.11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

But keep in mind:

Isaiah 45.25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

David said that when He is awakened he shall be satisfied when he sees that He has the LORD's likeness. But the LORD's Likeness is as an Afflicted Soul [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy p. 13], whose knowledge justifies many, for He shall bear their iniquity. For in Israel's Affliction He was Afflicted:

Isaiah 63.9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

For:

Isaiah 30.18..the LORD is a God of Judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
30.19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
28.17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
28.22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

28.24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
28.26..his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
28.27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod...
24.1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
24.4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

page 46

24.5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
24.6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
24.19 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
24.21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
13.11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
2.19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
2.20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
2.21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
1.26 And I will restore thy judges as the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, the city of righteousness, the faithful city.
1.27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
1.28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
1.31 And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

We recall hearing the Messiah speaking, saying:

Psalm 119.126 It is time for thee, LORD, to act, because they have made void the Law!

page 47

Here we see the Messiah, The Word, calling to his Father, that His servants have made void His Law. How, Sir, do you and your Bishop answer this?

The Signs which accompany that appeal include those listed above. We recall also Jesus' saying, quoted in From Dust & Ashes to Joy, that His Father has given all Judgment to the Son. Curiously, men question the Judgment because they doubt the credentials of the son. And because of this phenomena we speculated in Hidden Pavilions that if there were two men left on earth they might still in their haughtiness argue the source of the plagues and destruction which reduced mankind to two survivors. Why might this scenario be possible? Because when the Truth is presented men, who are adversely effected by the Truth, tend to deny it. Where we can demonstrate a clear lie on the part of the Pope, later in this work, we fear the response will be that there is no man to respond to it, or answer a word. We fear, as said, that his response may, in fact, be to let the lie--any lie which questions Pauline integrity – stand. Based upon the Pope's peace-maker works in the world, we would hope that he would correct his conversation, as he has asked of others.

If, in this day, Pope John-Paul II is willing to let a lie stand, then it leaves us with little hope that others will be more forward with regard to the Truth.

As mentioned in Duty and Profit, there is one thing no one can do for you, and that is to come to the Truth. This is where Free Will comes in, which we should address a bit here. We now point to Free Will, because God implanted from His Likeness the quality of Intellect and with Intellect an ability to reason and exercise Free Will. When the Messiah awakens by the Word of the LORD, or by His precepts, it follows that if He is the only one, by Free Will, promoting Truth (thus, exposing liars) then He should exclaim:

Psalm 116.9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
116.10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
116.11 I said in my haste, All men are liars!

Ditto.

Chapter 15
Come Let us Reason together and be Accountable!

This comes from Isaiah's first words:

Isaiah 1.17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
1.18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD..

page 48

We should, at this point, compare a statement St. Maximos made on the matter of faith versus reason:

Saint Maximos, First Century on Theology, 9..Faith is true knowledge, the principles of which are beyond rational demonstration; for faith makes real for us things beyond intellect and reason (cf. Heb. 11.1).

This follows the Pauline concept of faith – so to abrogate the Law – , but it does not account to the idea that the LORD's entire message in the Holy Scriptures has to do with reasoning with man. In the Last Day the LORD will plead with man:

Jeremiah 25.31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, He will plead with all flesh; He will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.
25.32..behold evil shall go forth from nation to nation..
25.33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth, even unto the other..
25.34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel,
25.35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

This has been our argument all along. He pleas with reason, and in the absence of a reasonable answer He applies the rod, as He did against Pharaoh when He led the Children of Israel back to the Holy Land.

In a discussion with The Old Man of the Sea – whom I said had a spirit like yours – I pointed out that the desire of the Holy Scriptures is to reason with man [see On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church p. 92; ed. note]: to teach him and show him how to do good.

The LORD is accountable, so why shouldn't man be the same?
Why would God, who has infinite Wisdom, invite man to reason with Him? Doesn't He know all things? There is one thing He apparently does not know, and that is whether the Pope, for instance, will, as in Isaiah 1.17, seek judgment and repent of his lie detailed later in this work. More specifically we know if the Pope seeks judgment with all of his heart, mind and soul he'll answer Part II of On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church and From Dust & Ashes to Joy.

page 49

On Auditors: when and to whom one answers. Sir, you know yourself that when an auditor audits your account, concerning some discrepancy, you owe that auditor an answer. And the answer must satisfy him so that he may close the books and go on to another set of books, because this is how he makes his living. Being true to the purpose of an auditor he cannot leave anything unanswered in your books which might reflect on his integrity. As in the case of the LORD's Auditor who comes to audit the LORD's estate, then the matter is more dear, since the Auditor cannot leave anything unanswered in the books which would reflect on the integrity of the Name of the LORD GOD. In the matters concerned in these works, then the questions raised concerning an audit of the books are no small matter. For they are no longer the Auditor's questions or concerns, but the LORD's. So they must be answered, and the one who must be answered is the Auditor: who finds the discrepancy.

This follows a Judgment mentioned by Enoch [re: Hidden Pavilions p. 165]:

Enoch 46.4 And when the LORD shall send a great light, then there will be judgment for the just and the unjust, and there no one shall escape notice.
52.15 For all these things will be laid bare in the weighing-scales and in the books, on the day of the great judgment.

Once the cat is out of the bag it's out! The early rendering of this proverb was Pandora's box. Pandora, whom Hermes took as a Bride, means all gifts, and she, being resentful, brought with her as a dowry a jar or box filled with all sorts of evils, which she released on earth, keeping only hope inside [re: Hesiod, Theogony and Works and Days ].

We can apply this parable to the articles of judgment viewed in the Holy Scriptures. The LORD gave man Free Will and the intellect to reason with Him. Within that intellect is stored the knowledge of both good and evil. As indicated in From Dust & Ashes to Joy , the paths leading to evil are bordered by a temptress who assures you that her way is more enjoyable and easier. But her way is to deceive and to lie. And the truth of the matter is that what she is about (or Satan is about if you prefer) is to change your purpose from one of good to evil. The LORD, in calling you back, is that Virgin who appeals to your purpose which will be for good. Now those things which are given to us are not inherently evil or good; it is what we do with them which makes them good or evil, for life or for death. St. Maximos the Confessor, Four Hundred Texts on Love, says something enlightening here:

St. Maximos, Second Century , 76 Of the things contingent upon those given us by God, some are in the soul, some are in the body, and some relate to the body. Those in the soul are spiritual knowledge and ignorance, forgetfulness and memory, love and hate, fear and courage, distress and joy, and so on. Those in the body are pleasure and pain, sensation and numbness, health and disease, life and death, and so on. Those relating to the body are having children and not having children, wealth and poverty, fame and obscurity, and so on. Some of these are regarded as good and others as evil. Not one of them is evil in itself. According to how they are used they may rightly be called good or evil.

page 50

So here we have it. Man has Free Will and many Gifts of God. What he does with them determines whether he is good or evil.

We threw in Against Leviathan Christ's saying, To whom much is given much is required, to illustrate why it is important for those who seek the greatest seat in a house to be humble before the LORD. This article of faith includes being accountable.

We here recall the conversation between God and Cain:

Genesis 4.9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

This was the Auditor asking Cain what he knew about the disappearance of his brother Abel. Cain had just murdered Abel out of jealousy. Judgment then follows this tract: Certain facts are known, you may know the particulars of the facts, so the LORD, who searches the hearts of all men, asks you to account for what you know about the matter. If you know of someone who has killed someone and lied about it, and if you are asked about it, then you are expected to answer what you know about it. We apply this reasoning to the Church: has she, like Cain, killed her brothers in Christ?

Some people confuse the question with the questioner. Who are you to question me ? they might say, or am I my brother's keeper ? But it is the error which caused the question, not the Auditor. It is the sin which must be answered, and the one to whom one must answer is whoever posed the question. That is, whoever opened the books. So the books are opened. What do you do about it?

When the books are opened, if there have been false dealings, the false dealers cover up the opening. They block the passage and they obscure the details; they cover-up the crime. The courts have shown those who cover-up a crime are as guilty as those who committed the crime. So one crime gets heaped upon another, one lie upon another, until, as seen in America now, there is no justice [re: Duty and Profit ].

page 51

When we compared the quickening of the Messiah as if it were the awakening of the LORD, it was not without absence of forethought, that Free Will has something to do with the gradual epiphany of a body in Christ which is One with God: i.e., One with the Wisdom of God. Part of that epiphany involved the Afflicted Soul of both the Messiah and the Children of Israel and, if need be, the affliction of the nations: that you shall all learn what it is like to be an Afflicted Soul. The lesson turns one back to the early conversation with Cain: that had he told the truth the LORD's heart might have contemplated another judgment for the nations entirely. The truth is we do not know what would have happened – in God's plan of Judgment – had Cain told the truth.

Following this chain of thought leads us to the idea that the variable in man, of doing good or evil, is somewhat up in the air. The essence of the epiphany of reason has yet to be unfolded.

As a gardener the LORD watches his garden sprout and bloom, waiting to see which will please him and, regarding the weeds, which will not. He sees, as it were, after the manner of an awakening: [re: Psalm 44.23 Awake, why sleepest thou O LORD ?] as to what man shall do and what he shall not do – whether he shall choose life and live, or not. He searches our hearts as an epiphany: whether His Spirit is awakening us.

Those who go astray can be viewed from the eyes of a gardener: as to him a weed is a plant growing in the wrong place, and His choice is to always move it: where it will do good (which is also the choice of the Good Shepherd – to move a sheep where it will be saved). From this alone we know that there is always the condition that whosoever repents of his sins the LORD God will redeem. One thing clear in this Good Gardener parable, is that no evil can remain hidden for long. It will raise up, and one will come along and pluck it up.

One must be hopeful to be alive when one's sins are exposed, so that if moved to do good one may change. For continuing our parable on the Plowman, once he has beaten out the cummin, the tares are burned. From this there is no escape. One should honor one who calls you to judgment, as Jesus listed in His Will. You and your Bishop know this.

Chapter 16
Pure Messengers versus the Liars

Jesus said, Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God (Matt. 5.8). It is fortunate, following Jeremiah's orders [32.14] that in times of strife to bury the Testimony in the sand, that some conservative Jews, called the Essenes, buried the Holy Scriptures in caves by the Dead Sea. For they serve as our messengers from the time of Jesus as to what conservative Jews believed and recorded in those times. These texts have not been tampered with by the hands of man since they were put in the caves about 70 A.D.; and thus they provide a pure testimony from that age.

He is a good man, though he is sometimes evil and sometimes noble. This comes from a poet Xenophon quoted in his book, Recollections of Socrates, Book 1.2 [re: p. 11 of our January 8, 1994 letter – on perusing the treasures of wise men]. It is our desire, when evil is found, to awaken a man to it. Some men, like the Pharaoh, are more stubborn than others, showing us how some awaken and some do not.

Another parable on this: When I reviewed the basics behind From Dust & Ashes to Joy  with The Old Man of the Sea, he shocked me by alleging that there is no evidence that Jesus lived. I opened Hidden Pavilions  to page 508 where we show a quote from Tacitus which speaks of Christ suffering the supreme punishment, etc. The Old Man of the Sea  then suggested that maybe someone had tampered with Tacitus' work. Later I answered The Old Man of the Sea, saying that he had shown me the dark side of his soul. For he had made up his mind, in my opinion, long ago – though he was at one time a pastor – that the entire Bible is impure [tampered with] Testimony, that it does not come from God; thus, to him there is no such thing as Truth, etc.

Now the original argument in Against Leviathan was to expose the Truth with regard to the particulars which have been causing the persecution of some 7 million homeless people in America, as well as other matters involving the betrayal of our trust by our leaders. And we complained in our argument that there was no man who would defend them: to present the Truth that is.

Now a Christian, one should think, should be receptive to the Truth and support it when it has to do with saving multitudes of lives. But we tested the waters here, first in Hidden Pavilions, proceeding through these works, and found prominent Christian leaders in all sects are no more willing to draw out the Truth of a matter than The Old Man of the Sea was (and is) concerning a sincere inquiry into the cause of Christ. As noted in the Quest, he dropped back a ways, back into the darkness. We mention this to show a parable how men like to answer messengers of the Truth. For messengers of the Truth bring forth facts which often upset the very foundations of a man's belief's.

It is unfortunate that men are not as rational in reviewing evidence relating to the persecution of multitudes as they might if they were sitting in judgment in judging a theft. When knowledge is presented a Judge decides. The Old Man of the Sea, in the case used, avoided accepted knowledge: that Tacitus wrote reliable history, even of Christ (as he was against the Christians).

page 53

Our argument hinges on the fact that Jesus was the only one who claimed to be of the Sign of the Virgin before Israel was scattered. Since The Old Man of the Sea had made up his mind that the Holy Scriptures were not Holy, from God, then it served his advantage to even discredit the record left by Tacitus' Annals (he had denied the testimony in Josephus also – which others also have doubted). We had an independent testimony from Tacitus (who was against the Christians because they hated mankind and, thus, recorded common Roman [and his own] opinion) on Christ's crucifixion; and even that testimony was ignored by The Old Man of the Sea (He did say that his position as the devil's advocate, as it were, may not have reflected his true opinion; that he took the position for edification).

The Old Man of the Sea's argument illustrates how men may attempt to preserve their opinions from being attacked by Truths which might overthrow them. As indicated in Hidden Pavilions, What Price Justice, etc., whether messengers of the Truth are sent to such places as Jerusalem before the Captivity of Babylon, or Nazi Germany, or America, the response is the same: to deny the message; and the best way to do that is to deny the messenger – that someone altered his testimony or he contains no truth.

Casting out Demons

Our argument leads into the arena of casting out the demons who are persecuting people in all spheres of our life. We find those demons and bind them by their lies, putting them to perpetual shame. But to do this we need witnesses. Getting people to Witness and help convict a lie and the source of a lie is a hard thing to do-unless they can see an immediate benefit to them. They wag their hand and expect money on the table. Where's the pay-off ? they ask, since to them money is everything.

The pay-off of our argument is in saving multitudes of lives (which materialists generally are not attracted to, unless there is some material benefit or convenience in saving a thing). We speak of the lives of those afflicted around us whom we can help, even of The Old Man of the Sea's children and our children and their children. How this applies: Paul founded anti-Semitism, and this hateful creed continues to shed blood around the world; and it will continue until the facts we have listed are judged and made known. In addition to this we have related how anti-Semitism has created hatred on the one hand, and indifference on the other, and how behind the Sealed Golden Gate of the Temple Mount there are issues which, if not exposed, will draw this nation and many others into battle [again] over the Holy Land. I pointed out to The Old Man of the Sea that regardless of his point of view on the Holy Scriptures – whether he favors casting doubt on their credibility or not – there is a strong probability that many of his children will die in the desert over causes relating to those Holy Scriptures. Our argument with him is that it is in the interest of his progeny for him to root out those misunderstandings which – if not resolved – will one day demand theirs and many others blood. We pointed out to him directly, and through these works, that until a way is found to establish the Temple on the Temple Mount and thereby remove the stones which seal the Golden Gate, there will continue to be great bloodshed in the Holy Land. It should be to his interest to inquire, then, into those matters which have sealed the Golden Gate and which keep it sealed. But there is no interest in that discussion among any whom I have contacted. And I have contacted the list of Pastors in Hidden Pavilions and the greater list of world leaders in Philistia Triumph thou because of me .

page 54

It is easy to say that Christ is eternal and One with God. But this has no meaning if you have no idea what Christ is, where Christ stands, and what Christ must do. Will rational men ask us: How can Christ unseal the Golden Gate and build the Temple of the LORD – a House of Prayer for all People – without bloodshed? Is there any rational man around to inquire into this with us?

Our inquiry, to open the Sealed Golden Gate, must resolve the falsehood made by Pope John-Paul II relative to the Koran. We point out that in exposing that falsehood we should move the Church to a position which will enable it to support the Tabernacle and build the Temple upon the Temple Mount. For their reconciliation to the Koran brings them back to a position which, was, as said, very similar to the Gospel which Saints Peter and James taught, which honored the Law and Jesus the Messiah. The prospect of sorting out the falsehood should be an exciting one for a rational man. But we have not been able to find a rational man to sort it out with us, as said. Because of this there is no judgment and for the lack of knowledge the people perish (Hosea 4.6); sic:

Proverbs 29.18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Chapter 17
Gathering knowledge

The end of all knowledge is judgment. First we need men willing to gather knowledge in the service of judgment. We need to gather knowledge for life.

As a man tills his land for life, so is it with knowledge. We must continually turn and seed the intellect in our being with knowledge: how to lay foundations for our children and a better life in the future.

Many Fronts of Truth

Your generation – and we do not exclude The Old Man of the Sea or my parents – did a terrible thing to our children. For you took from the land and stole the keys of knowledge for your own benefit, leaving no inheritance behind you. Now my generation is scrounging for the scraps left behind with the consequences over-all of leaving meagre pickings for their children and their children's children.

page 55

We addressed this calamity on several fronts, beginning with a call to reveal the Truth on the National Debt. Though often we hear Congress complain that we are passing our debts off on to our children, they really do nothing to remedy the complaint. For we have shown in Duty and Profit et al. how Congress has distorted the Truth of the matter (which any judge in the future can see): pretending to Balance the Budget when, in fact, we are – following their present course – beyond an ability to truly balance the budget. So Congress has been perpetrating a fraud upon our people, and though they claim to be harvesters of knowledge, judging us fairly, they have been gathering darkness. Whether it is the budget lie, or many others, such as Pope John-Paul II's lie, all of the lies have the same effect upon our generation: darkness. If our secular leaders are liars, and our religious leaders and philosophers are liars, by what means, then, can we ever get a yea or nay on any Truth?

Serving the Passions

Now the Sons of Darkness lie, no matter whether in secular or in nonsecular matters. They lie and cheat and deny so to serve their passions. When they see light they attempt to hide it unless there is some pay-off in it for them. They are materialists and have trouble, as seen in the Psalms which described the wicked above, in living in the Spirit.

Understanding the Son of Truth

It is fortunate that the Holy Scriptures created a model of Light to which they say all men will draw one day. Whilst it is right for you to say that Christ is eternal Light, it means nothing without also accepting that He is the Son of Truth, and being as such He always takes the side of Truth. Now this is where the Sons of Darkness show their side. For when the Son of Truth, or, the Sons of Light, show their wares, the Sons of Darkness go into a state of denial, then anger, and finally release the hatred pent up in them by accounting to bloodshed. We, of course, have been arguing against things which have caused bloodshed in the past and future and have measured in the response men preferring to maintain their habitation in darkness. To combat this the Holy Scriptures created the Messiah as one who knows the Secrets of Men. This precept no doubt links to the idea of the Badger Skin Covering atop the Tabernacle: for the Messiah, like a badger, is handy at digging out secrets.

Chapter 18
Knowing the Secrets of men

Jesus said that knowledge and judgment are like men gathering old treasures and new together, and this comes from the Oral Torah and:

Eccls. 2.16 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Psalm 44.21 Shall not God search this out? For He knoweth the secrets of the heart.

page 56

We quoted this assignment as being extended to the Messiah, through the Zohar [re: From Dust & Ashes to Joy  Part II, p. 17], which need not be repeated here. Says St. Maxiomos:

St. Maxiomos the Confessor, On Theology , Second Century # 29..And He will do it at the end of the age, making manifest what has hitherto been hidden from all men.
#70 The Lord is called light, life, resurrection and truth (cf. John 8.12, 11.25; 14.6) He is light because He gives lucidity to the soul, dispels the darkness of ignorance, illumines the intellect so that it can grasp what is unutterable, and reveals mysteries perceptible only to the pure.

Both the Psalms and Proverbs address this phenomena, and Isaiah expands upon it, and even during Jesus' time this was not open to interpretation. That the Jews in Jesus' day believed the Messiah would carry such knowledge, is evident in the Dead Sea Scrolls:

Dead Sea Scrolls, War of the Sons of Light against the Sons of Darkness ..Streaks of lightning will flash from one end of the world to the other, growing ever brighter until the era of darkness is brought utterly to an end. [re: Matt. 24.27]..and amid the Holy Beings He Himself will appear [re: Zech. 14.1-5] to give aid ..and he will make the truth to shine forth, bringing doom upon the Sons of Darkness..and they shall surrender...
Horoscope of the Messiah ..and then he will acquire wisdom and learn understanding..and He will know the secrets of man. His wisdom will reach all the peoples, and He will know the secrets of all the living.
Community Rule ..He shall measure out all knowledge discovered throughout the ages, together with the precept of the age.

Behind these precepts are the blessings and curses in the book of Enoch [Hidden Pavilions p. 165], ending with:

Enoch 52.15 For all these things will be laid bare in the weighing-scales and in the books, on the day of the great judgment

This is what we have been doing. The problem at hand is to find some righteous men who will act on the secrets so revealed. And some of them, as shown in Pope John-Paul II's falsehood, are very deep and dark secrets. In spite of them, the Dead Sea Scrolls tell us to rejoice in the Messiah who judges the secrets of men. For:

Dead Sea Scrolls, War Rule ..and all the children of His truth shall be jubilant in eternal knowledge.

This comes from the Psalms:

page 57

Psalm 94.20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
94.16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
94.17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
119.71 CHETH It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
107.41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
107.42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
97.11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
89.24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
89.25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
89.26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
89.28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
89.29 His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
71.17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
71.20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
35.23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my LORD.
35.24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
35.25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
35.26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.
35.27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
35.28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

page 58

24.7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
26.7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
40.3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
40.11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
41.1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
41.2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

Psalm 36.9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
119.74 JOD They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
130.3 If thou, LORD, who shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand?
130.4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Why is no one Happy to receive the Truth? Here is the problem, Sir, from the waters we have tested, where we have exposed some dark secrets of men, among Christians: as in Sodom we have seen neither rejoicing nor fear of the LORD. From the simple tome of giving the Holy Land its correct name to the correction of Paul's falsehood (which now extends to Pope John-Paul II and all Christianity), to the settlement of our complaint against the false leaders in our government – all these things involve simple judgments, and yet there is no man who is willing to say either yea or nay to them. Sir, it is a Truth that one cannot say that Christ is an eternal Word of God without being willing to support eternal Truths. We have laid before your eyes many Truths which need to be confirmed by an independent mind so that they may become a light to the world and save multitudes of lives.

As you can see in the psalms quoted above, as well as the scriptures in our other works, our cause is just, because it refers to the LORD's Righteousness. We therefore apply to Reason. Remember:

page 59

Isaiah 50.2 .. when I came, was there no man? [re: our January 8, 1994 letter].
The complaint above defers to maintaining good conversation (i.e. that of Abraham over Sodom). Likewise we have been cultivating understanding in hope that the Church and others with them will avoid the rod (which He raised against Sodom, Egypt and Israel).

Chapter 19
How He shall Justify Many

Sir, the fundamentals of our argument (faith vs. works) outline the true cause of Christ, for the verse upon which you depend, to prove how He is afflicted for your sins [and the world's], also shows:

Isaiah 53.11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many...

Compare this with:

Leviticus 16.29 And this shall be a statute forever unto you: that in the seventh months, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all..

The first part of Isaiah 53.11 is reflective: He looks back on the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. It also considers Leviticus 16.29, for we speak of honoring the Sabbath of Sabbaths: the Day of Atonement.

Shall be satisfied reflects on the future cited in Isaiah's Afflicted Soul beginning with a string as follows:

Isaiah 58.5..wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
Isaiah 61.1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me..
61.2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God..

The Acceptable Day is two things:

page 60

The Day of Immanuel is the Day when the LORD afflicts His Soul, for:

Isaiah 53.10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief..

This reflects back upon David's note:

Psalm 18.27 ..thou wilt save the afflicted people..
71.20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again..
119.71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

He gathers knowledge through the affliction of his own soul and then Israel's affliction. This, dear Sir, takes a bit of time. And then it says, He shall be satisfied , which reflects back on Isaiah's Afflicted Soul:

Isaiah 58.10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:

Thus, His Knowledge is drawn out through his afflictions. So He justifies many by His Knowledge, including:

--all of which are the Affliction of the LORD's Soul, since He is all in all.

He justifies Many? Whom? Who come to the LORD. Here, Sir, is where we get into deeper waters, for the Justification, meaning:

American Heritage Dictionary :
1) to demonstrate to be just, right, or valid, 2) to provide reasons for a warrant, 3) to declare free of blame; absolve..

– involves bringing forth the dark sayings and secrets of men. He shall measure out all knowledge, etc. pertaining to the mission [salvation] to which he is charged [see Isaiah 11.1-9]. Today Christ, at the least, must:

page 61

He shall Justify Many by His knowledge also reflects upon:

Habbakkuk 3.4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

His soul which is lifted up refers to:

Isaiah 33.9 The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down..
33.10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

Which reflects upon:

Psalm 12.3..The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
12.4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
12.5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
12.8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Be mindful that God corrects whom He loves and destroys the wicked:

Proverbs 3.12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
3.13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

page 62

When He lifts Himself up, refers to the Afflicted Soul of Isaiah 58 and then to the Redemption of Israel. For:

Jeremiah 23.5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
23.6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

We showed in From Dust & Ashes to Joy  how in that day He will sanctify His Holy People. Christ's Second Coming involves justification of My People (and the Law which separated them unto the LORD):

Jeremiah 23.7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
23.8 But The LORD liveth which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them: and they shall dwell in their own land.

So we have Christ saying:

John 12.31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
12.32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
12.34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth forever: and how sayest thou, The Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?
12.35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Which defers to:

John 12.27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
12.28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

I will glorify it again refers to Christ's Second Coming for judgment, who judges by His Word; sic.:

Habakkuk 2.4..the Just shall live by His Faith.

page 63

And this leads to the idea that:

Psalm 107.41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction..
107.42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
76.9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth
. Selah.
76.12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

The knowledge of the Messiah, saving the meek, and being terrible to the kings of the earth (even the Pope), are inseparable, because:

Psalm 119.106. NUN I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
119.107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Sir, as noted in our texts the Judgment of the LORD has already been written. By applying those Judgments in the Second Coming Christ fulfills that which He is sworn to do; and, in doing so, He is lifted up in the Knowledge of the LORD and by His Knowledge justifies many and by His Faith the just shall live. By His Faith refers to the fact that He shall present a New Covenant at the time My People are gathered from the nations whither they had been scattered, and the land shall be Married per Isaiah 62.4.

Sir, I know that you place a high value on Knowledge and Reason. If He shall justify Many by His knowledge, and if by His Faith the Just shall live, how long, dear Sir, will it take for the Just to see His knowledge? How long will it take for the Just to come, seeing and understanding His Knowledge, to live by His Faith? We opined much of that knowledge already and, for our own part, agree:

Isaiah 63.5 ..I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold..

page 64

– which reflects reciprocally through time: upon Israel; now to the Gentile:

Isaiah 63.9..He said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Savior.
63.10 In all their afflictions he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
63.11 But they rebelled..

We have seen that the particulars which led up to the scattering of Israel, and again the redemption of Israel, reflect upon the nations. Thus He says:

in all their afflictions I was afflicted..

– to stress the same point He already made with Israel (In the Redemption of Israel the LORD and Israel are joined as one), that with regard to the nations:

Isaiah 58.4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
58.6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
58.7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

By the stacks of our facts, we know you can appreciate how drawing this knowledge out, like the Muses carefully weaving golden threads of fate through a dark cloth, is a difficult thing to do (such was the observation of the rabbis of Pumbedita).

Speak of the Word of the LORD – allow us this: how marshalled are the eternal catenas of light our Great Troop has needled for your sake.

Looking back on our work, why is it, Sir, that such prolix is required just to defend an Afflicted Soul? For our part we originally wrote to you about some 7 million afflicted souls in our nation who are being persecuted; then we appealed to you, how the correction of Church errors will save multitudes of lives (Moslems, Christians and Jews).

page 65

Will the Paulists come to this judgment of the Holy Scriptures, even this:

Koran, The Cow 2:116 The Jews say the Christians are misguided, and the Christians say it is the Jews who are misguided. Yet they both read the Scriptures. And the pagans say the same of both. Allah will judge their disputes on the Day of Resurrection.

Chapter 20
Whether the Pauline Church
will correct its errors

The other day, browsing through Pope John-Paul II's book, Getting through the Threshold of Hope, I was dismayed when I came across three things which drew our concern; and these things cast doubts upon the sincerity of his Faith.

We presume that He has kept his Virginity for the sake of Christ's Second Coming. And thus it was for the Pope's edification and preparation that we wrote On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church, wherein in March 1994 we reiterated our position that the Pauline Church has been lying about several things which must be remedied. On the cover of our book we showed:

A Catholic Faith plucked of pogroms against the Law of Moses, the Jews, St. Peter and the Moslems.

We addressed Part II of On the Breakage of the Catholic Church through your bishop to Pope John-Paul II in hope that he will honestly come forward and correct the things Christians have been lying about. That the people should know the truth.

Now the matter is more egregious! Had we reached Pope John-Paul II we could have prevented him from uttering the lie about Jesus the Messiah!

Now we can speak of the details of Pope John-Paul II's lie. Our first point deals with a major lie the Pauline Church has been perpetrating; to wit:

that Moslems do not accept Jesus as the Messiah (Christ).

My Word! Our short address in On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church to the Pope was not that long nor complicated. On page 98 of that work we showed that the Koran calls Jesus the Messiah. Now what did the Pope do in answer to us? In his work, Crossing the Threshold of Hop , the chapter named Muhammed ? , he declaimed the Koran basing his castigation on his assumption that:

the Koran only calls Jesus a prophet.

page 66

I believe we issued our work, On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church, to him before he released his book, hoping that he'd correct the Pauline falsehood. Alas! the Pope went on with perpetrating the old lie and even exaggerated it: declining the Koran's confirmation of Jesus! Your Bishop has allowed to let stand a very long lie. Jesus is the Messiah named in the Koran, and only a fool would dare contravene that claim ( Satan delights in such fools).

We're shocked that in past aeons no one brought this fact to the Church's attention! Now that it is brought to her attention there is judgment and, thus, sin. His Holiness must separate himself from sin.

The second point of our concern follows Pope John-Paul II's [ignorant] attitude towards the Koran (we doubt seriously that he had ever read it, though he condemned it!) For in On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church we show that the Koran also makes another very important point in addition to accepting Jesus as the Messiah. The Koran says it was dictated to Muhammed to confirm the Holy Scriptures (see Hidden Pavilions and Philistia Triumph Thou because of me for a long list of examples on this), that they are true. For the sake of lazy Christian readers and other Heathen, this is what the Koran says:

Koran, IMRANS 3:45 The angels said to Mary: "Allah bids you rejoice in a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary.."

Having argued in several places that the Koran was written to confirm the Holy Scriptures; to wit:

Koran, The Creator 35:25 Your only duty is to give warning..What we have revealed to you in the book is the truth confirming previous scriptures.
Koran, AL-AHQAF 46:12 Yet, before it the Book of Moses was revealed, a guide and a blessing to all men. This book confirms it.
Koran, Women 4.47 You [Jews] to whom the Scriptures were given! Believe in that which we have revealed, confirming your own scriptures..

page 67

!!! – it follows that the Koran cannot disagree with the Holy Scriptures; for two cannot walk together except they be agreed [Amos 3.3]. Since the Koran agrees with Christ and His Holy Scriptures it cannot be an issue. Thus, your bishop has allowed Pope John-Paul II to make of himself a great fool.

The few scriptures above, of several examples, neither Saint Peter nor Saint James and their Christ can deny. Now you can read as well as they and Christ, as said before, so whom do you think Pope John-Paul II [the Church] is trying to fool?

We mentioned that the Moslem Faith is far nearer to the Faith Saints Peter and James practised (in that it was given to them by Christ) than the Pauline Faith.

One Holy unto God cannot lie. Pope John-Paul II, at the moment, is far from Holy and teetering the walls of the Church over the pit dug by Paul (into which the Church threw heretics).

The third point we discovered in Pope John-Paul II's book, Crossing the threshold of Hope, is his perception of the Church's authority, of carrying the New Covenant of God, when we have easily and clearly pointed out that the New Covenant is not established until Israel is redeemed unto its land (which is now) [re: On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church; From Dust & Ashes to Joy, etc.]; furthermore, Jesus never made a New Covenant (and would have been a false Messiah had he done so-He did, however, give a New Testament; something different from a Covenant); and that Paul was a liar for having represented himself as the Light of the Gentile who delivers the New Covenant. Moreover he was a fool, not heeding Christ's words, that there is one who accuses you, even Moses..[John 5.45]

To sum this portion up, if you prefer Pope John-Paul II to be remembered as a fool and a liar, then so be it. But if you would, on the other hand, give honor to righteousness and the Holy Name of the LORD, you might wish to consider a remedy – which would remove the taint of lying and foolishness from among the other shepherds. Sir, all we need from the Pope is an errata to his book, which would fulfill the following expectations, to wit:

Isaiah 54.17..and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD...

page 68

Christ must honor this. If we, who audit this account, do not see the required errata, will there be hope for the soul of Pope John-Paul II? If He loses his soul, so shall it be with his flock-because he will have misled them.

There are those who do not care about their souls. And they, dear Sir, are generally the kinds of people whom we complained about in Quest for Human Dignity. They all share one thing in common: they are sociopaths; and such people are easily exposed by a good lawyer. The inquest begins like this:

Q. Have you ever cheated on an exam?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you regret having cheated on an exam?
A. No.
Q. Why not?
A. Because everyone does it..
Q. etc.

Bringing back the strays

One of the responsibilities of the Overseer [Bishop] of the Essene Community is to bring back the strays. We know Jesus saw Himself in this light [re: the Syrophonecian woman, Mark 4.26]. In Jesus' time, a Bishop's duty was:

Dead Sea Scrolls Zadokite Document, of the Overseer.. to enlighten the masses about the works of God, and to make them understand His wondrous powers. He is to tell them in detail the story of things that happened in the past. He is to show them the same compassion as a father shows for his children. He is to bring back all of them that stray, as does a shepherd his flock. He is to loose all the bonds that constrain them, so that there be no one in his community who is oppressed or crushed.

With reference to this and also Part I, chapter 12, of From Dust & Ashes to Joy, your Bishop has a responsibility to Christ and all of His Community to clear up the concerns we listed.

We know that this seems hard, but the consequences in Psalm 78.66,67, Part I, page 52 of From Dust & Ashes to Joy, could be harder. Your Bishop is still in check.

Sir, the Pope sits before an inquest on cheating from which there is no escape. For I heard from the LORD's whirlwind over the nations:

page 69

Jeremiah 30.16..and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey..
Psalm 98.7,8..Let the floods clap their hands.. [re: Part I, p. 42, From Dust & Ashes to Joy ]

– which seems to assure this. Hoping for your Bishops' attentiveness to our needs and knowing you can contribute more edification to the matter, I remain, as always,

Sincerely yours,

M

Mr. Buckley's answer to From Dust & Ashes to Joy :

Pending

Our add-on:

March 18, 1995

Dear Mr. Buckley,

We haven't heard from you regarding the proposal in our January 28, 1995 letter: From Dust & Ashes to Joy, in two parts – of restoring the Tabernacle (our Wedding Canopy) to complete Isaiah 62.4, that is – and suspect that you and your Bishop may need more time to prepare an answer. In any event, we hope all is well with you and that an answer to our proposal is forthcoming.

Since our proposal also deals with the advent (the 9 th of AV) prior to the Day of Atonement and, thus, relates to forgiveness of debts and goodwill to others, we thought it appropriate to separate our general complaint against the Pauline Church (listed in On the Breakage of the Holy Catholic Church et al.) into a document, called Who is of the Truth, so that matter can be more easily dispositioned by the mourners on the 9 th of Av [The Emperor Hadrian decreed that the Jews could worship only at a fallen wall on the 9 th of Av]. This document deals with a blatant lie in Crossing the Threshold of Hope which must be corrected by your Bishop, because it provoked over the ages, and continues to do so, much bloodshed: against the Jews first and then the Moslems (who are equally effected by the lie). Our conversation has always had its focus on the saving of lives, and, thus, because many are leaning on the lifelines of our ship, as it were, which we have shown to be terribly frayed, we have solicited (and to some degree received) your cooperation. We are thankful for your concern thus far.

page 70

Because From Dust & Ashes to Joy concerns a matter inscribed in the hearts of the Jews, we sent a copy of Part I of that work to Michael Lerner of TIKKUN Magazine. We asked for any contribution to the conversation he might wish to make. However, it has now been thirty days since we sent him that work, and we haven't heard from him [nor ever heard from him as of this launching; ed. note]. We believe he--who has advertised his touchstone on Judaism – should have been intelligent enough to assay our argument and respond to us. Perhaps, lacking an intelligent communion in the matter (we should have ten righteous men for the quorum), we are reaching the point in our argument where the prophesy:

Isaiah 41.26... there was no man: even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word..

– is fulfilled.

Whilst I was communicating with you, I also had attempted to make contact with my brother who is connected with a Charismatic Church. He called me the other day (as he has always had concern for my failure to obtain a steady job) and said that they believe that God's Wrath has come upon the earth and that my sorrows have come because God is punishing me for having [in his mind and relating to my daughter in Paris] committed adultery. My books address this argument, from the Jewish point of view, of course; and I answered that I saw my role – recruited to bear witness to the Truth – as an honorable occupation and a most exciting engagement. As with David my affliction put me in touch with the argument; sic:

Psalm 119.71 CHETH It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

That people fail to inquire into the LORD's Truth – so to expose deathly lies – is surely punishing to me; and that I have to repeat the complaint against persecution so much does sustain me continuously in sorrow; and that I have been afflicted by the desire of the Holy Scriptures also, I say, may appear punishing. But until my brother said I was being punished I had never contemplated this. But then he also said (having read our good conversation) that he was ashamed to discuss my desire with his pastors-which was something I had been encouraging him to do.

page 71

My brother is ashamed of me, I can't get any Christian to answer the Truth – my soul is literally flattened down. Ignorance, like the weight of sheaves, is pressing me down and my heart is melted like wax. I am but schmaltz! Perhaps this day this prophesy:

Habakkuk 2.4..Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him..

– is fulfilled.

I know you are busy, as usual; nevertheless we all know that the discussion we have been pressing is the most fruitful of all things occupying your mind. For we have been discussing the epiphany of Christ's Second Coming and have shown, even in From Dust and Ashes to Joy, that within it there is an expectation of some responsible, intelligent, men seeing eye to eye with Him. Finding intelligent men seems – except for your participation – to be a futile and Sisyphutic effort.

I am sending a copy of Who is of the Truth to Mr. Lerner and hope that with his contribution to the conversation we can together focus our reason to the advantage of a speedy reparation on the Truths we listed. Although we should put your Bishop in checkmate, your continuing conversation brings us great joy, moving us upward. Ascending, we may proclaim that God reigneth [Isaiah 52.7; meaning, according to the Dead Sea Scrolls, Melchizedek Texts, that God has claimed his Kingdom] as our Great Troop guards the threshold of hope, and, thankful for the opportunity, I remain, as always,

Sincerely yours,

M

Mr. Buckley's Answer to Who is of the Truth :

April 25, 1995

One of the problems with charismatics has always been the determination to see present woe as a sign of the impending terminus of the present dispensation-of the immanent second coming. Woe is just an ordinary part of the post-lapsarian human experience; sometimes it's consequent upon particular, personal sin and sometimes not. Neither suffering nor thirsting after truth and righteousness lets us off the hook as regards ordinary obligations, though; so I must beg your tolerance and forgiveness in the matter of further correspondence.

Yours cordially,

Wm. F. Buckley Jr.

Our Response:

April 29, 1995

Dear Mr. Buckley,

Thank you for your letter of April 25, 1995 in response to Who is of the Truth. In the thousand page catena we delivered these past 28 months our Great Troop argued the same case put before Abraham. Abraham considered it very carefully--not for his own sake but for the sake of us, the Heirs. He opened his Tent to us as a friend.

As noted in Who is of the Truth, the message delivered to Abraham and his seed carried Promises and [apocalyptic] threats. We also showed how the threats are consequences of man's pejorative behavior: i.e. the wicked are caught in the very same snares they set for others; ye reap what ye sow..

There should be no misunderstanding between us. The acrid attitude of this generation of leaders to us Heirs serves as fuel to set afire the wretched tinder weeping in the streets. Your generation has engendered disaffection and despair throughout our borders, and wise men, we have argued, could clear up much of this. For instance, our Great Troop has shown that providing for the poor and the dispossessed is the best means of mitigating apocalyptic consequences. Men arm themselves in fear, and we, following Abraham's guidance, have argued with the treasures of reason. Abraham was attentive to this message, setting an example for us all. Never did he defer to another a duty he himself could fulfill towards the wretched of the earth. As noted in Who is of the Truth he was a gracious host to friends and family, strangers and enemies alike. Moreover, he was a great leader, mediating always for the most just outcome; and this, incidentally--though he acted pre-eminitely--he saw as an ordinary part of his regular obligations. Now his obligations were higher than yours, for they were to not only his seed, but also to all the sons of men. Thus, Abraham, the least of all shepherds, who became the least of all tribes, accomplished something the greatest of men-particularly in our day-are incapable of envisioning.

We have not asked as much from you as was laid upon the shoulders of Abraham
. We, the Heirs , have presented ourself to you as a Small Book (though somewhat swollen beyond our anticipated measure at this point). Our plea is set and is now history. You may throw us into the trash, with our hopes and dreams, or lift us up. Whatever you do--whether ordinary or extraordinary- -remember us, The Poor of Jerusalem.

As always, I remain,

Sincerely yours,

M
